For my first project back we had to take photos of the different kinds of principles in design used in photography. Below you will find some of the photos I took for this assignment. BalanceDefinition: when different parts of a photo command your attention equally. MovementDefinition: Movement freezes the object in motion, or do the opposite by blurring the subject. Repetition and RhythmDefinition: Gives your photo composition by repeating shapes or objects throughout the picture. EmphasisDefinition: Defined by an area or object that is made to be the main focus of the image. Simplicity (AKA Visual Economy)Definition: A photo with a clear reason why the subject was chosen and placed. ContrastDefinition: Shows a visual difference in the ratios of tones. ProportionDefinition: Comparing The size of objects, or the amount of the object in hole. SpaceDefinition: An area in any photo where your main subject lies. UnityDefinition: Elements in a photo work together to support each other. SummaryI found this assignment particularly hard, because I had to get used to the camera, and all the controls associated with it. I also struggled trying to upload my photos and, photoshopping them. Regardless of my struggles, I enjoyed looking around the school to find objects that would fit the term for principles in design. This assignment helped me to remember rules and how digital photography works, and made me excited for all of the future assignments.
