For this assignment we took 2 photos one of ourselves and one of anything we wanted, then we used photoshop to color and edit it. Here are the results

For my first photo shooting assignment I will be working on taking pictures of animals, preferably dogs. I am hoping while I am doing this assignment I hope to learn more about the action in animals and experiment with different types of movement of animals.
For this assignment we had to take pictures, using different aperture and shutter speed settings. Shutter Speed1# Shutter Speed 1/25 2# Shutter Speed 1/40 #3 Shutter Speed 1/80 #4 Shutter Speed 1/320 For these photos I had a friend kick their legs up in the air to help make a blurry photo. I realize that I should have kept a consistent shutter speed instead of jumping all the way to 1/320. I have learned from this mistake and will improve upon it next time. Aperture#1 Aperture f 1.0 #2 Aperture f 7.1 #3 Aperture f 9.0 #4 Aperture f 18.0 For my Aperture photos I increased the aperture each photo to help blur the background a bit make the backpack become the main subject. I should have increased the aperture a bit more, though to make the background more blurry. I will improve upon this action next time. Shutter Speed and Aperture Questions and Answers.Q: A fast shutter speed does what to an image?
A: It makes the image darker and gives it a freeze motion. Q: A slow shutter speed causes what affect on an image. A: It makes the image look like it is in slow motion. Q:A large aperture causes what affect on an image? A: It makes a smaller depth of field. Q: A small aperture causes what affect on an image A: It makes a larger depth of field. In this assignment. We had to take photos using different angles and different photo techniques, such as, symmetry, and pattern. Here are some of the photos I took using these techniques. Depth of Field Lines Patterns Rule of Thirds Symmetry Texture Balance Color Framing Perspective Space
During this assignment I feel like I gained a lot of knowledge on how photography works and the different techniques that are used when taking pictures. I loved going around and finding what would best work with each technique and so I really enjoyed this project. Though for framing I at first was not able to find what would work with framing, but luckily I eventually found out. I loved doing this project, and am so excited to see what projects are to come in the future. My name is Kiersten Russell, and this is my photography blog. A few fun facts about me. I have 4 older brothers and one younger brother. I also own two dogs Copper, and Pepper. I also love being in the water and have been swimming since I was 8 years old. I also am on the high school swim team.
I joined this class to hopefully learn more about photography. I have always loved taking pictures and wanted to learn more about how to do that. I am hoping that this class will give me more insight on. |
