My photography journey has been a long one. I would not say it has been a easy one, however i have learned a lot this tri and am very grateful for it. walking in the first day I thought this would be a easy class and it would not be very hard, however I was wrong. Though the class was not hard there were many things that I struggle to do. Following the first week of class we were told about our weekly photo assignments, where every Monday we would turn in a photo that had a specific subject like animal, or food. I had a lot of fun doing these, and felt like I had grown as a photographer.
I started out in this class not knowing much about photography, I was very inexperienced in using a camera and how it worked, but now I have a lot of knowledge about the photography world and I will use it in the future. Though I am still not an expert I believe I have grown immensely while being in this class.

For this photoshop we had to think of a pun and then convey that into a picture. Then we had to think of a word and write it down and write down the definition. we also had to add subjects onto the photo to show what the word means. here are photos I made. PunsDictionaryI had a lot of fun with this assignment and enjoyed thinking of puns to do and words for dictionary. I would not say that it was hard everything was pretty straight forward, and fun to do.
For my final photo Monday I decided to do motion, so I took pictures of my tap dispensing water, and a cup filled with water and dropped water into it. Here are my photos. OriginalEditedFor my edited Photo I fixed the tone, color, and contrast, by clicking the auto tone, auto contrast, and auto color buttons in photoshop. Exposure Triangle ISO: 6400 Aperture: f/13.0 Shutter Speed: 1/30 Other Photos (not edited)At first I was gonna throw leaves up in the air and see if I could get a picture of them while they were up in the air, however it did not turn out as well as I thought it would. So instead I took pictures of my tap sink dispensing water in drops and also took a glass of water and dropped water in the cup to get a motion affect.
For this photo assignment we had to take photos of a person in studio lighting and with out studio lighting we also used bounce card, to reflect light off the subjects face. Then we had to use photoshop to make a white bar around the photo. Here is my photo. I had a lot of fun with this assignment and enjoyed taking the photos in studio lighting and none studio lighting. This is probably one of my favorite photoshop assignment we have ever done in this class.
For my sixth photo assignment I took photos of a bagel for food. Here are my photos. including my original best and edited OriginalEditedImage TriangleShutter Speed: 1/80 Aperture: 6.3 ISO: 3200 Other PhotosI had a hard time at first with these photos, however with a bit of photoshop it turned out not too bad. I adjusted the shutter speed a bit too so the light would not look so weird. I feel like I am understanding shutter speed and photoshop better everyday.
For this assignment, we had to take two pictures and make one a polaroid and add a bit of color to one. then we had to look up photoshop tutorials, then apply the steps to a picture we have or the non photoshopped one on the sit. Here are the photos I created. Dash of Color Original PhotoshoppedPolaroidWater ReflectionThis assignment was very challenging for me, because photoshop is not my strong suit and I could not get more than one photoshop other then the dash of color and polaroid. I also accidentally missed a step in the reflection because the wave is only supposed to be on the bottom. However I did try to get more than one however it was very challenging for me to do so, and in the end I only ended up with one. I will try to improve upon this experience for next time.
